Modern Mailbox Co. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Effective Date: September 29th 2026

This policy applies to orders placed on or after the effective date above.

Modern Mailbox Co. builds custom mailbox products and provides mailbox installation and landscape packages. Each project requires preparation, materials, and scheduled installation time.

Order Cancellations

Customers may cancel their order within 24 hours of placing it for a full refund by contacting info@modernmailboxco.com. Please include your name and installation address.

After the cancellation period, custom orders are not eligible for cancellation or a refund due to a change of mind, except as required by applicable law or otherwise agreed to in writing by Modern Mailbox Co.

If applicable law provides a longer cancellation period or another cancellation right, that right will apply. Any legally permitted method of cancellation will be honored.

Installed Products & Completed Services

We do not accept change-of-mind returns or offer change-of-mind refunds or store credit for installed mailboxes, installed landscape materials, plants, or completed services.

Please review your written proposal carefully before approving your mailbox design, finish, lettering, plant selections, landscape layout, and installation location.

These restrictions do not limit claims involving defective products, installation errors, work that does not match the agreed proposal, or remedies required by law.

Landscape Packages & Plant Care

Customers are responsible for watering and maintaining plants beginning on the installation date, according to the care instructions provided.

Sun-tolerant plants still require water and time to establish. Plant decline or loss caused by improper care or excluded environmental conditions does not qualify for a refund or free replacement under our voluntary warranty.

Please refer to our 1-Year Limited Craftsmanship Warranty for plant-care requirements, covered installation defects, and exclusions.

Design & Project Changes

Changes requested after an order is placed are subject to approval and may involve additional charges or a revised installation date.

We will explain any changes to pricing or timing and obtain your approval before proceeding with the revised work.

Installation Scheduling

If you need to reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. New installation dates are subject to availability.

Weather, unsafe site conditions, or other circumstances may require us to reschedule installation. We will communicate changes and coordinate a new date with you. Rescheduling does not limit any cancellation or refund rights provided by law.

Product or Installation Concerns

If you notice a problem with your mailbox or landscape installation, contact info@modernmailboxco.com promptly. Include your name, installation address, a description of the concern, and clear photographs.

Covered defects will be addressed under our 1-Year Limited Craftsmanship Warranty. Please allow us a reasonable opportunity to inspect the issue and arrange an appropriate resolution.

This cancellation and refund policy does not replace or reduce your warranty coverage.

If We Cannot Complete Your Project

If Modern Mailbox Co. cancels your project before providing any products or services, we will refund all amounts paid.

If we cannot complete a project that has already begun, we will provide an accounting of the products and services supplied and refund amounts paid for products or services we will not provide, subject to any additional remedies required by law.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method whenever possible and processed within applicable legal deadlines. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to post the funds.

Your Legal Rights

Nothing in this policy limits cancellation rights, warranty rights, or other remedies that cannot legally be excluded. Where this policy conflicts with applicable law, applicable law controls.
