Modern Mailbox Co. 1-Year Limited Craftsmanship Warranty

Effective Date: September 29th 2026

Modern Mailbox Co. warrants that your mailbox post will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for one (1) year from the date of installation or delivery. Landscape installation workmanship performed by Modern Mailbox Co. is covered for one (1) year from the date of installation, subject to the limitations below. This craftsmanship warranty does not provide a one-year plant survival guarantee.

This warranty covers:

  • Structural defects due to workmanship

  • Premature failure of joints or construction

  • Peeling or failure of the finish caused by improper application

  • Defects in mailbox post materials under normal residential use

  • Mailbox post leaning caused by improper installation performed by Modern Mailbox Co.

  • Defects in landscape installation workmanship performed by Modern Mailbox Co.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal weathering, fading, or natural wood movement

  • Minor checking, shrinking, or expansion of wood

  • Damage caused by vehicles, lawn equipment, storms, flooding, or other acts of nature

  • Damage caused by improper installation by others

  • Damage caused by neglect, abuse, or modifications made after purchase

  • Routine landscape maintenance or plant losses caused by the conditions described below

Landscape Packages & Plant Care

Modern Mailbox Co. supplies plants in healthy condition at installation and selects plants appropriate for the agreed location and sun exposure. Sun-tolerant plants still require watering, maintenance, and time to establish. Weather and other natural conditions can affect plant health and survival.

Customer Care Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for watering and ongoing plant care beginning on the installation date.

For the first 14 days after installation, check plants and root-zone moisture daily and follow the written care instructions provided by Modern Mailbox Co. Unless those instructions specify otherwise, water daily during this period, adjusting for sufficient rainfall and soil moisture to avoid overwatering or waterlogged conditions. Inadequate watering during this critical period can cause plant decline or death.

The first 14 days are only the initial care period. Continue watering and maintenance afterward as needed for the plants to establish and remain healthy.

Plant Survival Limitations

Modern Mailbox Co. does not guarantee continued plant survival, growth, or flowering. This limited warranty excludes plant decline, damage, or death caused by:

  • Inadequate or excessive watering

  • Failure to follow the supplied plant-care instructions

  • Extreme heat or cold, drought, storms, flooding, or other natural events

  • Pests, disease, or animal damage

  • Exposure to herbicides, chemicals, or improperly applied fertilizers

  • Relocation, alterations, or damage by the customer or others

These exclusions do not apply to the extent that damage results from defective installation workmanship covered by this warranty. A plant-care issue does not invalidate unrelated mailbox or installation workmanship coverage.

Landscape Maintenance

Routine watering, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, and replenishment of mulch or other landscape materials are not included unless expressly stated in your written purchase agreement.

Warranty Remedies

If a covered defect occurs during the warranty period, Modern Mailbox Co. will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the affected component or correct the defective installation workmanship; or

  • Replace the defective component.

Covered warranty work will be performed at no charge to the customer for the labor and materials required to complete the covered repair or replacement.

How to Request Warranty Service

Please contact info@modernmailboxco.com promptly after discovering a concern. Include:

  • Your name and installation address

  • Your installation or delivery date

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photographs of the affected area

  • For plant concerns, your watering routine and when symptoms first appeared

Please allow Modern Mailbox Co. a reasonable opportunity to inspect the affected work or plants before removal or replacement.

Your Legal Rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Nothing in this warranty limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
